2 cans sliced apples (or sliced fresh apples seasoned with cinnamon and brown sugar)
½ cup all-purpose flour
2 cups quick or old-fashioned oats
2/3 cup brown sugar
½ teaspoon salt
2 teaspoon cinnamon
½ teaspoon nutmeg
2/3 cup butter or margarine, melted

Place apples (including liquid if using canned) in a large sized pie plate. In a bowl, combine flour, oats, sugar, salt, and spices. Add butter and mix well; spread topping evenly over apples. Bake in 375 oven for about 30 minutes. Serve warm or cold.
