At the heart of all of our exercise programs at Joanne's Fitness Studio is personal supervision, coaching, and training.

While you may use our cardio equipment at any time the Studio is open (hours), small classes (men's and women are separate) are our signature. During each class, you'll work with our staff on personally designed fitness / strength programs to help you achieve and maintain your optimum level of fitness.

And YES, smiling, laughing, telling stories and jokes, and lending an encouraging hand to your workout partners is strongly encouraged.

My family and I have lived in Newtown for 30+ years. Aside from my dedication to my clients and the studio, I enjoy spending time with my family while keeping an active lifestyle. As a personal trainer I find that I am continuously learning and exploring new techniques and strategies to introduce to the studio. My goal is to give my clients confidence to find a healthier lifestyle that will continue with them for a lifetime. I also feel it’s my responsibility to keep them motivated showing them that we can have fun while staying healthy and fit.

Multiple Certifications from the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America (AFAA), and a Certified Trainer on the TRX – Suspension Training System. CPR Certified. 
Jeane Tillinghast Jeanne Tillinghast: Personal Fitness Trainer

Fitness has been an integral part of Jeanne’s life for many years. Starting with gymnastics as a young child, continuing with sports throughout school and her adult life, including receiving her black belt in Tae Kwon Doe. Jeanne understands the importance of keeping fit through multiple techniques of exercise especially weight training. She enjoys bringing encouragement to her classes to not only get the most out of their sessions but to be consistent and never get discouraged!
